Rebooking %
Rebooking % is a front-desk capture rate. It answers a simple question: of the guests who came in on a given day, how many left with their next appointment already on the books?
Rebooking % = (guests whose next appointment was booked on or before their visit date) ÷ (guests who attended that day)
The key detail is timing — the next appointment has to be booked on or before the day of the visit. If a guest attends on Tuesday and calls in on Thursday to book their next visit, that doesn't count as a rebooking. The point of the metric is to capture whether your team is booking guests before they walk out the door.
Rebooking % appears as a salon-wide tile on the Sales Dashboard, and per stylist in the Average Stylist Revenue table and the Revenue by Employee report. The two are scoped differently.
Salon-level rebooking (any provider)
This is the Rebooking % shown in Salon Health. A guest counts as rebooked if their next appointment was booked on or before their visit date, with any provider at the salon — not just the stylist they saw that day.
Salon Rebooking % = Guests who left with a next appointment booked (with anyone) ÷ Guests who attended
Each guest counts once for each day they came in, however many stylists served them that day. The Sales Dashboard, the Front Desk Dashboard, the Goals Report Card and the End-of-Day Summary email all show this same figure.
This is the number to use for front-desk coaching: it reflects whether the guest left with a next appointment on the books at all, regardless of which stylist ends up seeing them for it.
Per-stylist rebooking
The Average Stylist Revenue table on the Sales Dashboard has a Rebooking % column for each stylist: of the guests that stylist served, the share who left with their next appointment on the books. The Revenue by Employee report shows the same column for The Lash Lounge and Bishops.
Stylist Rebooking % = Guests this stylist served who left rebooked ÷ Guests this stylist served
A guest seen on two different days counts once for each day.
The next appointment must be with the same stylist, booked on or before the visit date and still on the books (not cancelled). A guest who rebooks with a different stylist doesn't count toward the first stylist's rate. This is why the stylist figures can run lower than the salon-wide tile. This rule applies at The Lash Lounge and at Bishops.
A guest counts when they're rebooked at checkout, whoever the next appointment is with, and the rebooking is credited to the employee who made the sale, so the figures match Frenchies' own employee report. The Revenue by Employee report has no Rebooking % column at Frenchies.
The column shows — when the stylist served no guests in the date range. For whether guests actually come back to the same stylist over the following months, read Retention % beside it.
How it's calculated
The Lash Lounge
The next appointment counts once it's on the books, using the date it was originally requested — but only if that appointment is still active. If it's later cancelled or the guest is marked as missed, it no longer counts toward the rebooking number.
The shop-wide and studio-wide Rebooking % counts a guest when they're rebooked at checkout, with any stylist. Each guest counts once per day, as everywhere else. At Frenchies, redo services are left out and the percentage shows two decimal places so it matches Zenoti's Business KPI report. Bishops' per-stylist column still uses the same-stylist rule described above.
Use Rebooking % to coach whoever is checking guests out — it measures what happens at the front desk. To see whether each stylist's guests actually come back, read Retention % alongside it.
