Gift Card Palooza

Gift Card Palooza is the leaderboard for The Lash Lounge Holiday Gift Card Sales Challenge: one row per location for the dates you pick, with the gift card sales that count toward the contest, the sales the contest rules leave out, the drawing entries each location has earned and its rank.

Bishops shops and Frenchies studios

It covers The Lash Lounge only. Bishops and Frenchies locations aren't included.

Find it in Draft Reports; click Generate on its card. Its numbers are still being validated; double-check figures before sharing them outside your team. The dates open on this year's contest window, November 15 – December 31; use the presets or the From and To pickers to run any other range, such as last year's contest. Click Run Report. Every open Lash Lounge location is on the board, including those with no gift card sales; a location that has since closed appears only for a range it sold gift cards in.

The Gift Card Report is unchanged. It shows gift card revenue, face value, funding and redemptions for any salon; this report applies the contest's rules on top of the same sales.

The contest

Locations earn one drawing entry at $2,000 in Contest Sales, and one more entry for every full $1,000 above that. The tiles above the table show the system's Contest Sales, the number of locations at $2,000 or more, the total entries and Gift Cards Sold.

Columns

ColumnWhat it measures
RankWhere the location stands on Contest Sales. Tied locations share a rank and the next rank is skipped.
Contest SalesCash / Card less Same-Day Use and Own-Account Use. This is the amount that earns entries.
EntriesDrawing entries: one at $2,000 in Contest Sales, plus one for every full $1,000 above it. A location below $2,000 has none.
Gift Cards SoldWhat guests paid for gift cards in the range, however they paid, less gift card refunds in the range. A card's bonus value (a "Buy $100, get $115" card loads $115 but counts $100) is not used anywhere in this report.
Cash / CardThe part of Gift Cards Sold paid in cash, by card, by check or by bank transfer. Account credit, comps and a card bought with another gift card add nothing. A card paid partly in cash and partly from account credit keeps its cash part.
Same-Day UseThe Cash / Card on cards that were used, for any amount and by anyone, on the day they were bought. The whole card is excluded, not just the amount spent.
Own-Account UseThe Cash / Card on cards the buyer later spent on a ticket that included a package, or paid into their own account as credit. A card already excluded for same-day use is not counted again here.
Cards Sold / Cards ExcludedHow many gift cards the location sold in the range, and how many of them the two rules exclude.

City and State come from the location's profile.

Notes

  • A card's own-account use counts whenever it happens, even after the contest closes, so a run in January still catches it. Same-day use is always inside your dates.
  • A refund nets against the card it refunds when both fall in the range. A card refunded in full counts as not sold.
  • Gift Cards Sold matches Gift Card Revenue on the Gift Card Report for the same dates and locations, and Cash / Card matches its Cash / card column. The one case they differ: a card bought before your dates and refunded inside them lowers the Gift Card Report and leaves this one alone.
  • Dollar figures are before tax; gift cards carry none.
