Goals Report Card
Goals Report Card lays your months out side by side against the targets you set for them in Salon goals — one row per month, so you can see how a stretch of months has gone at a glance instead of reviewing them one at a time on the Sales Dashboard.
It grades you against your own goals, not against anyone else. It doesn't rank locations against each other, and it doesn't rank months against each other — it's here so you can see your own trend over time.
Find it under Reports → Salon Reports → Sales. Anyone with reporting access can run it for their own location; corporate and admin users can pick any location. This report covers The Lash Lounge, Bishops Cuts / Color and Frenchies.
At Bishops, open Shop Reports → Sales → Goals Report Card; at Frenchies, Studio Reports → Sales → Goals Report Card.
Running the report
Pick a start and end month and click Run Report — the range snaps to whole calendar months. It opens on the last twelve months, including the month in progress, and accepts a range of up to 24 months; ask for more and it tells you the range is too wide rather than running. The report runs for one location at a time: it opens on the location selected in the header, and the picker lets you switch to another of your locations.
Reading a row
Each row is one location, one month. For every target from Salon goals — collections, monthly visits, average sale, retail %, utilization, rebooking %, retention % for new guests and for existing guests, and new memberships for The Lash Lounge and Frenchies — the row shows what actually happened against what was targeted, and whether the month hit it:
Retention % (New) and Retention % (Existing) are the two location-wide figures from the Retention card on the Sales Dashboard, each graded against its own target: Retention % target, new guests and Retention % target, existing guests.
Bishops shops are graded on Revenue / Stylist Hour instead of New Memberships (Bishops sells no memberships). The actual is the services and retail the shop sold in the month, before tax, divided by the hours its stylists were clocked in, the same figure as Shop Health on the Sales Dashboard and Systemwide Data. It compares directly with your monthly Revenue per stylist hour target, without prorating the hourly rate. For a month with no clocked hours, or a month that reaches back before the shop's time-clock records begin, it reads No data and isn't graded. Utilization works the same way for months before the shop's schedule records begin. Every other goal is still graded. A measured zero stays zero. A saved $0 hourly target is valid.
Frenchies studios count tickets. The average sale is Avg Ticket (sales per completed ticket) and the monthly volume is Total Tickets, graded against your Tickets per month target — the same figures the Sales Dashboard shows a Frenchies studio. Retention % uses Frenchies' own rule, the same as the dashboard: guests with a visit in the month four months back who came back within 90 days.
-
Met — the month reached or beat its target.
-
Below target — it didn't. This report uses the same wording as the Sales Dashboard's Goals mode — not "missed" — because a below-target month is information for planning ahead, not a grade.
-
Above range — utilization only. Utilization is set as a min and max in Salon goals; a closed month above the max is marked ▲ rather than ✓, because a salon booked past its ceiling is turning business away. It counts as a miss in the attainment rate. The target under the cell reads as the range (50.0%–82.0%), and the CSV export carries both bounds as Utilization Goal Min / Goal Max.
-
In progress — the current month, if it falls inside your date range. It's shown, but it isn't graded Met or Below target while it's still running, and it's left out of the Met-count and attainment-rate tiles above the grid.
-
No target — there's nothing to grade against, either because that KPI's field was left blank in Salon goals, or because a percentage goal has nothing to grow from.
A percentage collections goal (Month-over-Month % or Year-over-Year %) is graded against the dollar figure it works out to: last month's — or the same month last year's — full collections, plus your percentage. That's the same number the Sales Dashboard shows you with its CC fees toggle on Exclude, where it starts. If that earlier month has no collections on record — a location's first months on the platform, for example — there's no figure to grow from, so the month reads No target.
-
No data — shown as a dash, not a zero. A dash means the report has nothing to report for that month; a zero means the KPI was actually measured and came in at zero. Don't read the two the same way.
The target sits under the actual in every cell. Targets carry forward month to month until you update them in Salon goals, so a month whose target came from an earlier month is marked Carried forward on its month label — that label is your signal that the number wasn't set for that month specifically. A month with no such label had its own target saved directly.
Hover any cell for the exact figures: the actual to the cent, the target, and the percentage to goal to one decimal. The grid rounds these for readability; the hover text and the CSV do not.
Exporting
The download and print buttons sit at the right of the location's title bar. The CSV is one row per location and month, with Goal, Actual, % to Goal and Result columns for every KPI plus a Source column that reads Set this month or Carried forward (Mar 2026) — the same rows the grid draws from, laid out flat for a spreadsheet. Bishops exports include Revenue / Stylist Hour; Lash Lounge and Frenchies exports include New Memberships. A run spanning both systems includes both sets of columns, with blanks where a metric does not apply. Summary totals grade only the applicable KPIs.
One KPI that isn't here
7-Day Appointments is not included. It counts what's on the books for the next seven days from today — there's no way to ask what "the next seven days" looked like for a month that's already over, so there's nothing meaningful to put in that column.
It's one of two places where the same thing is true: some numbers only exist in the present tense, and can't be reconstructed for a month that has passed. The other is covered next.
The memberships note
New Memberships is graded for past months. It counts memberships sold in the month — memberships whose start date falls inside it, for a client who had no membership end in the 12 months before and still holds it at the end of the month (see what counts as a new member) — which is a dated record, so it rebuilds for any month the way collections and visits do. What can't be rebuilt for a past month is the suspended-membership count (recorded only as it stands each day, as described for the Suspended column under Systemwide Data); this report doesn't use it.
The utilization caveat
Utilization for a past month is measured against your current staff schedule, not the schedule as it stood back then. salon360 keeps only the current staff schedule, not a history of past ones, so when this report grades an older month's utilization, it's checking that month's booked hours against today's roster — not the one that was actually in place at the time. Treat utilization figures for past months as a guide, not an exact record. Every other KPI on this report is measured against what actually happened in that month.
The restatement caveat
The caveats above are about figures that can't be recalculated for a month that has passed; this one is about figures that can be. This report is recalculated every night, so a month that has already closed is always graded the same way as the current month. When the way a figure is measured is corrected, past months are measured the corrected way too, and a past month's verdict can change with it. The targets you saved never change. One example: average sale uses service sales before sales tax, in every month, so at salons in states that tax personal-care services it is lower than a figure that includes the tax.
Access
Collections leaves card convenience fees out. Where a salon passes a credit-card convenience fee through to guests, the fee is not counted in the month's collections or in the earlier month a percentage goal grows from, so the actual and the target are measured the same way. It matches the Sales Dashboard with its CC fees toggle on Exclude, where it starts.
For details on the columns behind each KPI — how collections, average sale, retail %, utilization, rebooking %, and memberships are each counted — see Salon goals and Sales Dashboard: Goals mode, which grade the same targets the same way.
Lives in Salon Reports → Sales, which opens to corporate and admin users, and anyone with reporting access at a location that has Reports enabled. The location picker lists only the locations where you have reporting access and Reports is turned on; access at one of your locations doesn't carry over to another. This report covers The Lash Lounge, Bishops Cuts / Color and Frenchies; at Bishops it lives in Shop Reports → Sales, at Frenchies in Studio Reports → Sales.
