Franchise Management: a tool menu, System Budget moves in, plus workbook import
Franchise Management now opens on a menu of three tools — and has a narrower audience.
Franchise Management is now corporate-admin only
The whole Franchise Management page — FBC Management, FAC Management, and the new System Budget tool — now requires corporate admin access. Previously any corporate user could open it; a plain corporate staff account (no admin rights) will no longer see the Franchise Management tab under Corporate Settings at all. If your coach assignments or budgets used to be handled by someone without admin rights, that person will need corporate admin access going forward.
Pick a tool, instead of everything at once
The tab used to lay all of its tools out open, one under another: every coach with their email and salon coverage, then the whole budget grid, all on screen the moment you opened Corporate Settings. It now opens on a menu of three cards — FBC Management, FAC Management, and System Budget — and you click into the one you want. Nothing loads until you do, so coach contact details and revenue targets aren't sitting on screen for whoever happens to be looking.
← All franchise tools takes you back to the menu, and each tool now has its own address, so you can bookmark or share a link that opens straight to it.
System Weekly Budgets moved onto Franchise Management — as System Budget
Weekly budgets per franchise system used to live on a platform-admin-only page (Admin → System Weekly Budgets). That tool is now System Budget, on Settings → Corporate Settings → Franchise Management alongside FBC and FAC Management, so budget owners no longer need platform-admin access — corporate admin is enough. The old admin page now redirects here, and the Admin Tools card points at the new location.
A workbook import, not just a tidy CSV
System Budget still accepts the same tidy 3-column file (Franchise System, Week Start Date, Budget Amount) exactly as before. It can now also read a full budget workbook — one of the wider spreadsheets budgets actually get built in — through a guided four-step import:
- Upload the workbook.
- Pick the sheet from a list of the workbook's actual tab names.
- Confirm which columns hold the monthly figures, and which row is the system total — both are pre-filled with a best guess, but nothing is assumed: you confirm (or correct) them before continuing.
- Review a preview of what will change — new weeks, changed amounts, and unchanged rows called out separately — then click Apply. Nothing is written to any budget until you do.
No sheet, column, or row is ever inferred silently from tab names or guessed at without your confirmation — the import stops and asks at each of those three points.
A large workbook can take up to a minute to preview or apply; the dialog shows progress while it works.
Monthly figures become weekly rows automatically
If a workbook carries monthly totals, the import splits each month into weekly rows, so the budget still lands as weekly targets everywhere it's used. A week that falls across two budget years only counts the days belonging to each — so the first and last weeks of the year don't overstate their target.
One system at a time, with Coverage and Source
The budget grid shows one franchise system at a time, following the Franchise system selector above it, and adds two columns: Coverage (how much of that week the figure covers, useful for boundary weeks) and Source (whether a number came from a workbook import or was typed by hand — hover to see the sheet it came from).
A proration fix on Weekly PE Summary
Weekly PE Summary's Budget and Var to Budget columns had a rounding issue on partial weeks; the proration math is corrected so those figures line up with the underlying weekly budget.
