Duplicate Appointments: group-based matching is back
The Duplicate Appointments section on the Front Desk Dashboard flags two kinds of double-booking: the exact same service booked twice, and two different services from the same service group — for example, a Classic Refill and a Volume Refill both booked for one client.
What changed
The second kind — same-group matches — silently stopped being flagged in early June. Only exact-duplicate services were still showing up. That's now fixed; both kinds of duplicate are flagged again.
Separately, salons on Zenoti also got a detection fix: a guest whose entire window was a single visit — a group or party booking, or a longer service split into several consecutive time blocks — no longer shows up in Duplicate Appointments at all, since sharing one client and one service across multiple slots inside one visit was never a real duplicate. When the same service is genuinely booked across two separate visits, it still flags — but now shows one row per visit, at that visit's earliest slot, instead of one row per slot.
Where you'll see it
The Lash Lounge: if your salon books grouped services (like different refill types), you may notice more rows in Duplicate Appointments than you're used to. That's the detection working correctly again, not a new wave of duplicate bookings.
Frenchies and Bishops Cuts & Color (Zenoti): you'll likely see substantially fewer rows. Group and party bookings, and longer services booked as several consecutive time blocks, were previously counted as duplicates because they share one client and one service across multiple slots — they're now recognized as a single visit and are no longer flagged. Only a service booked twice across two separate visits still counts as a duplicate. When a flagged service repeats within one visit, the list now shows that visit's earliest slot rather than every slot.
