Franchise Performance: check the month you're in

The Franchise Performance dashboard now opens on the current month so far, and lets you set it to any date you like — so you can check how the business is tracking without waiting for the month to close.

Check in at any point in the month

The dashboard used to show only the last completed month. Open it now and it shows the month so far, updated through the most recent day of sales.

The As of control at the top of the page sets the date everything runs through. Click a month to see it complete, pick a day to see the month up to that day, or choose Today (MTD) to come back to the current month.

Comparisons match the days you're looking at

When you view a partial month, everything it is compared against is cut to the same length. On the 13th, your first 13 days are compared with the first 13 days of last month and the first 13 days of the same month last year — never with those months in full.

Every tile names the window it covers, so what is being compared with what is always on screen.

Refunds and corrections posted later in a comparison month are included too. They can reduce that month's comparison total without preventing the report from opening.

Performance labels still wait for a full month

Outperforming, Growing, Softening and the rest are still graded on complete months only, even while you are viewing the month so far. A handful of days is not enough to call a trend, and a label that moved every morning would not be worth reading. The legend names the month the labels are based on.

On the trend chart, the month in progress is drawn as a dashed segment with an open dot, and its year-over-year comparison waits until the month is finished.

Clearer about where the numbers come from

  • Same-store is now called Revenue-comparable, and the definition is available in the report and the guide.
  • Total and per-salon-day views apply consistently across table values, sorting, leaderboard ranking, growth and sparklines.
  • Data notes explain that history is grouped under each location's current owner, how each booking system defines revenue, and how current the data is.
  • A system that has not reported revenue yet stays available as a roster-only view, showing dashes rather than invented zeros.
  • If the underlying figures fail an integrity check, the dashboard stops and says so instead of leaving questionable numbers on screen.
