Retail now credits the team member who earned the commission

Retail product sales are now credited to the team member who actually earned the commission on the sale — front-desk sellers included. Previously that retail was either handed to the stylist on the same ticket or, for pure product sales, left out of the numbers entirely.

What changed

When a product is sold, your booking system records who earns the commission. The Sales Dashboard now uses that field to credit retail:

  • Front-desk sellers get their retail. When a front-desk team member is commissioned on a retail sale, it's credited to them — not reassigned to whichever stylist happened to perform the service on that ticket.
  • Retail that used to disappear is back. Retail sold without a service on the ticket (a walk-up product sale) was previously left out of the per-staff numbers. It now counts.

Where you'll see it

  • Salon Health — your salon Retail % and Avg Sales now include front-desk retail, so they reflect the salon's true retail performance. For most locations this nudges Retail % up.
  • Average Stylist Sales — the per-stylist table (renamed from "Average Sales") shows each stylist's own retail only. Front-desk sellers aren't listed here, so this table's retail totals a little less than the salon's — the gap is front-desk retail.
  • Average Sales (Official) report — lists every commissioned seller, front desk included, so it foots to the salon's total retail.

Getting in

No action needed — the change is automatic. Retail is credited from the commission field already recorded in your booking system.
