Lead notification emails now follow your Marketing setting
· 2 min read
New-lead notification emails now go out only when your salon has Marketing turned on — in addition to the existing per-person opt-in. If Marketing isn't enabled for your salon, no one there receives lead emails, even if their own toggle is on.
What changed
A lead alert now has to clear two gates before it lands in an inbox:
- Your salon has Marketing enabled. Lead notifications are part of the Marketing product, so a salon without Marketing no longer generates them.
- The person has lead emails turned on. Each user still controls their own New Lead Notifications — Email toggle. Nothing is sent to anyone who hasn't opted in.
Previously only the second gate applied — the salon-level Marketing setting was not checked. This change lines the emails up with the rest of your Marketing tools, so lead alerts only reach salons that are actually using them.
This applies to every lead source that triggers an email: Meta lead ads, website form fills, phone calls, and WhatConverts.
Who's affected
- Salons with Marketing on: no change. Whoever opted in keeps getting lead emails exactly as before.
- Salons without Marketing: lead emails stop. If you were receiving them and they've gone quiet, this is why.
If you expected an email and didn't get one
Check both gates, in order:
- Marketing is enabled for your salon. If it isn't and you'd like lead alerts, reach out to have it turned on.
- Your New Lead Notifications — Email toggle is on, under your user in Salon Settings → user management.
Both have to be on for an alert to reach you.
