Membership Management's As of date now works

The As of date on Membership Management did nothing. You could pick any date, press Apply, and every number on the panel would stay exactly where it was. It now drives the MTD Breakdown, and the two figures it can't drive are labelled so you know where you stand.

What was wrong

Two separate faults, either of which was enough on its own to freeze the panel.

The date you picked never left your browser. The Sales Dashboard's date controls send a start and an end date, and the report is anchored on the end date. On single-date controls like this one, only the start was being updated — the end stayed pinned to today, forever. Every Apply asked for today, no matter what the picker showed.

The MTD Breakdown also measured the wrong window. It ran from the first of the month to the last day of the month, not to the date you asked for. So even once the right date arrived, any date inside the current month returned the same full-month figures — and those figures counted membership activity dated after today, such as autopay collections scheduled later in the month.

What changed

The MTD Breakdown responds to the date. New Sales, Renewals, Terminations, Suspensions, Upgrades, Downgrades and Membership Change now cover the first of that month through the date you selected. Pick the 20th and you get activity through the 20th.

MTD now genuinely means "to date." Because the window used to run to the end of the month, the current month's figures included activity that hadn't happened yet. Those numbers will now read lower than they did — and correctly so. A month that has already finished is unaffected. The same correction applies to the Membership Management panel on the Front Desk Dashboard and to the Memberships MTD figures in the end-of-day email, so all three agree.

Active and Suspended Members are marked "As of today." These two are live counts of where your membership base stands right now, and they always were. They cannot be rewound: the underlying records store each membership's current status, not what it was on some past date. Rather than let the date picker imply otherwise, the control now sits inside the MTD Breakdown column — beside the only figures it governs — and the two live counts carry an As of today caption.

Still to come

A true point-in-time view — what did my membership base look like on May 20th? — needs a daily record of membership status that we don't yet keep. We're scoping it. Today, Active and Suspended tell you where you are right now, and the MTD Breakdown tells you how you got there.
