Printing a report now prints the whole report
· 2 min read
Printing a report used to give you one page with the rows cut off partway down and the last columns missing. That's fixed — for every report.
What you get now
Hit Print on any report and you get the whole thing:
- Every row, across as many pages as it takes, with the column headers repeated at the top of each page.
- Every column, sized to fit the paper instead of the screen.
- The report's name and date range at the top, so a printout handed to someone else says what it is and what period it covers.
- The totals from the top of the report, carried onto the page.
The navigation, filters and buttons are left off — the printout is the report, not the screen around it.
Also fixed
Draft Reports buttons now show the cursor you'd expect: a clickable one on an available Generate, and the unavailable cursor on a report that isn't ready yet.
A tip for wide reports
Reports with many columns print better in landscape. We deliberately don't force it, because your browser's print dialog is the right place to make that call — along with paper size and margins.
