System Budget: a read-only grid, a per-week breakdown, and an import summary
System Budget's weekly grid is now read-only, a new drill-down shows the per-location detail behind each week, and the workbook import summarizes what it found before you apply it.
The weekly grid is now read-only
The Save and Delete controls on individual week rows are gone. If you were used to typing a figure into a week and saving it, or deleting one directly in the grid, that no longer works — this is a real change in what you can do here, not just a look change.
Budget is now set by uploading the budget workbook, the same import already in place for System Budget. The older tidy CSV/XLSX upload has been retired along with the grid's editing controls, so the workbook is the one way in. If you need to change or remove a week's figure, update it in the workbook and re-import — the preview will show it as a changed row before you apply.
A per-week breakdown, by location
Click into any week and you now get a per-location breakdown: every location's budget figure for that week, and whether it resolved to a salon. Each location lands in one of three states:
- Matched to a salon — the normal case. The location's budget is tied to a salon and is being tracked against its sales.
- Awaiting opening — the location has a budget figure already but isn't open yet, so there's no salon to match it to. Expected for a location ahead of its opening date, not an error.
- Closed, no budget — a location that's closed shows no budget line for the week. Also expected.
There's a fourth state worth calling out on its own because it's the one that needs a fix: a location whose budget doesn't reach any salon. That's not an opening-date or closed-location situation — it's a location that should be matching but isn't. The fix isn't in the budget row itself; it's on the salon's Franchise ID, which is what the budget match is fixed on. Correct the Franchise ID on the salon record and the match resolves.
The import tells you what it found before you apply
The workbook import's preview step now opens with a summary, before you click Apply:
- how many locations matched to a salon,
- how much budget is accounted for,
- which locations need attention (the unmatched case above), and
- which salons have revenue but no budget line in the workbook at all.
Nothing is written until you apply — the summary is there so you can catch a Franchise ID mismatch or a missing location before the budget is live, rather than finding it later in the per-week breakdown.
