Average Sales by Day of Week now follows the service date
Average Sales by Day of Week now assigns sales to the date the work was delivered, rather than the date payment was collected. This makes the section a clearer view of when your salon performed the work.
What may change
If payment and service delivery happened on different dates, weekday bars can move. For example, a guest may prepay before an appointment or use credit purchased earlier. The work now appears on the weekday it was performed, so a weekday average can change even though the underlying services and payments have not.
Salons where services and payments usually happen on the same day may see little or no difference.
Sales in this section exclude taxes. Each bar shows the average for that weekday across the trailing 26 completed weeks; today is excluded, and the card's window is independent of the other date filters on the Sales Dashboard.
What stays the same
The new Sales — Year Over Year section is not affected — it follows payment timing. The daily and month-to-date sales figures in Salon Health also remain unchanged: they continue to show adjusted revenue on a cash basis, following when money was collected. These sections intentionally answer different questions, so their totals do not need to match.
