New report: Weekly PE Summary
Weekly PE Summary is a new corporate report that compares any date range against the same calendar dates a year earlier, broken out by franchise system and by day. It downloads as a multi-tab Excel workbook, replacing the spreadsheet that was previously assembled by hand each week.
What it shows
Pick a date range and the report builds three views over the same result set:
- Summary — one row per franchise system: current period, prior year, variance, budget, and variance to budget.
- Per-system tabs — a day-by-day pivot for each system (The Lash Lounge, Frenchies, Bishops Cuts / Color), with prior year beside current year and the variance between them.
- Detail — every location, every day, for both periods.
The report defaults to the last seven days, but the date range is free-form.
Prior year lines up on the calendar, not the weekday
The prior-year column is the same calendar dates one year back. June 1st is compared with June 1st, not with "the first Monday of June."
Because of that, weekdays drift between the two years — the 1st might be a Monday this year and a Sunday last year. Both tabs label the weekday on each side so you can see exactly which day you're comparing against, and the workbook carries the same labels.
Sales match the Roll Up Sales report
Sales come from the same locked Adjusted Sales definition that the Roll Up Sales report uses: real money collected, net of tax, excluding tips and non-cash redemptions such as memberships and gift cards. Run both reports over the same dates and the totals agree.
The Excel download
The download button produces an .xlsx workbook, not a CSV. It contains a Summary tab, then a pivot and a detail tab for each franchise system in scope — the same layout as the workbook it replaces. Currency and percentages are formatted, and totals are bolded.
Large detail sets are trimmed in the on-screen table for speed. The workbook always contains every row, and the screen tells you when it is showing a subset.
Budgets
Budget and Var to Budget read from a weekly budget set per franchise system, managed by a platform admin under Admin → System Weekly Budgets. Budgets are entered per week (weeks start on Monday) and prorated by day count when your date range doesn't line up with whole weeks.
Update (July 27, 2026): budgets moved — they're now the System Budget tool under Settings → Corporate Settings → Franchise Management, open to corporate admins. See the July 27 note for what changed.
If no budget covers the dates you selected, the Budget cells stay blank rather than showing zero, and the report tells you which systems are missing one. A zero would read as "beat a zero target," which is not the same thing as "no target set."
Admins can type budgets directly into the grid or upload a CSV/XLSX with Franchise System, Week Start Date, and Budget Amount columns. Imports are all-or-nothing: if any row is invalid, nothing is written and every problem is listed at once.
Also fixed
Dates in report tables were rendering one day early for everyone in a US timezone. This affected Last Sold in Package Performance, Soft Open in Systemwide Data, and Visit Date in Franchise CCR. All now show the correct calendar date.
